Regardless of how your life has gone up to this very moment, today begins the rest of your life. Do you want to spend today and tomorrow, and tomorrow after that, waiting for someone who says they no longer love you? Aren’t you worth more than that?
No matter what you used to have, it’s gone. That includes the love your husband or wife used to have for you. Put those memories into the scrapbook of your mind and close it.
Believe it or not, your next love will be better! (I speak from experience.) And forget that you are “too fat” or “not rich enough” and all those other excuses that you give yourself so that you won’t venture out into that big, terrifying world of suddenly singles.
Once you open your mind to the adventure (and it is), and your heart, you’ll be amazed. There are so many good men and women, just like yourself, in that same world. You are far, far from being alone!
It’s not an easy trip. But that’s why I’m here. I’ve been there. It takes courage, determination, and a big sense of humor. If you treat today as the first day of your new life, yesterday as the last day of your old life, and look forward not backward, you’ll make it.
