A week or so after my current husband and I were married, I asked him how he felt. He thought a moment and then said, “Comfortable.”
I was suprised by that answer but the more I thought about it, the more I believe “comfortable” to be one of the best responses he could have given.
In our marriage, we laugh a lot, sing silly little songs off key, and spend a lot of time together because we like being with each other. I think that’s what marriage is supposed to be.
