She&#8217;s either married or she isn&#8217;t. If she isn&#8217;t, nothing should stand in your way toward developing this relationship further. If she is, walk away. Right now, it doesn&#8217;t matter how strongly you feel toward her, she&#8217;s a married woman.<\/p>\n<p>If she had been your wife during these last three years, and her husband had been you, how would you have felt about his involvement in your marriage?<\/p>\n<p>If the abuse is physical, and she needs protection, there are legal steps she can take as she removes herself from this marriage.
