With the election over the idiots who write harmful viruses and send idiotic spams are busily jamming up the Internet with garbage. One such email is supposedly from news@cnn.com and contains a link to an “official” government web site. In reality, the link is to a very nasty little website that has nothing to do with anything good.

Other emails are circulating that have probably already caused thousands of unwary users to install Trojan viruses and spyware in their computers. Cnet News has the story: Obama-themed malware on the rise.

I don’t think this is an issue relating to Barack Obama but rather on hot topics that hackers and spammers think they can get the most click-throughs from. If McCain had been elected instead, the viruses and spam would have focused on him and Palin.
