I almost did it. A Facebook friend sent me a message with a link to a YouTube video. I clicked the link and the rather plain page that came up popped up a message that in order to view the video I needed an updated version of Flash. Rather than download from the site, I went to Adobe.com and updated Flash… but what was puzzling was that the latest Adobe version of Flash was different than the one I supposedly needed to view the video.

I visited my friend’s Facebook page and saw that she had posted a warning to ignore the message that appeared to be from her — that it was a Worm/Virus and not to click on the link. The following legit YouTube video explains more:
