‘Books For Women’
The Botox Diaries
One of the most delightful writing teams for snappy, fun, light, women’s fiction has got to be the team of Janice Kaplan and Lynn Schnurnberger. If you’ve read The Botox Diaries or one of their other books, I shouldn’t have to say any more. If you haven’t read any of their recent books, you don’t know what you’ve been missing! Read more »
I’m Sleeping With Your Husband
The complete title of this small book by Michelle Mitchell is I’m Sleeping With Your Husband: His Wife, His Mistress, and His Two Lives. Most of the book is told in the voice of the mistress. A couple chapters are in “his” voice. Toward the end, his wife’s voice is heard for a few pages. Read more »
Babyproofing Your Marriage

Queen of Broken Hearts
I have several books I’m currently reading that fit into the “light-and-frothy” category. I thought by the title that Cassandra King’s Queen of Broken Hearts would fit into that category. Once I started reading, I found the story to have more substance than I expected. I really enjoyed this book! Read more »
Wandering Hearts
I was prepared to not enjoy reading Wandering Hearts, a first novel by Donna J. Grisanti. It’s written during the Depression, the main characters face desperate situations, and, it’s not a light-and-frothy easy read. Adding to that, the book is 644 pages of small type. Then I started reading… Read more »
Money Without Matrimony
Generally, books on finance can be dry and difficult to read. That’s not the case with Money Without Matrimony: The Unmarried Couple’s Guide To Financial Security. Authors Sheryl Garrett, CFP, and Debra A. Neiman, CFP, MBA, have put together a book that is not only easy to read, it is interesting as well. Read more »
